The person behind the characters

Meet Villy.

Always imagining.

Long before I stepped into a rehearsal room, I was already inventing other lives. Music was my portable movie soundtrack: a song could become a scene, a character, or an entire world. Acting gives that imagination somewhere to go.

I’m a Chicago-based actor drawn to the depth inside a familiar story: the humanity in horror, the emotional weight in a romantic comedy, the contradictions that make a character feel real. Creating something out of thin air can be terrifying—and it’s what keeps me coming back.

I bring curiosity, preparation, and a willingness to learn, caring as much about my collaborators as the work we’re making. I’m Puerto Rican and fluent in English and Spanish; thinking in two languages opens up new ways of understanding a character. I see that as a superpower, and a responsibility to represent my community with care.

Offstage.

There’s usually a song in my head. I love dogs, cows, and collecting the kind of pop-culture trivia that might finally get me onto Pop Culture Jeopardy.
